Christina Kraft, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in treating adult patients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, communication problems, health issues, grief and loss. She believes strongly in “facing what has not yet been faced” and patients being an active leader in the therapeutic process. She approaches each patient’s story with compassion and works with them to build a comprehensive plan to overcome their struggles. She is working with Ohio Psychiatry Specialists at the Independence, OH location.
Dr. Kraft earned her bachelor’s degree at Ohio University in Athens, OH, her Ph.D. at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and completed her internship at the Louis V. Stokes Department of Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Kraft’s fellowship was divided while at the Summa Medical Health Group between the Level I Surgical Trauma Team at the Akron City Hospital campus and the Summa Center for the Treatment and Study of Traumatic Stress at the St. Thomas campus, both in Akron, OH.
Dr. Kraft’s fellowship smoothly transitioned into a staff position with the Summa Medical Health Group where she continued providing psychological services to the Trauma Services department as well as generalized outpatient work. In 2018 she joined Ohio Psychiatry Specialists and is thankful to continue her clinical work in a collaborative and supportive setting.
